Third Year’s the Charm

Sea Coast Staffing is celebrating our third year of business this week.   Three years… 1,095 days…   26,280 hours… 1,576,800 minutes since we took a leap of faith and opened our doors for business. Alexis had been in the recruiting world for over 25 years (clearly she must have started when she was ten years old), but it was just three years ago that the stars aligned and she decided to start her own business. Her years of experience, combined with her “Pied-Piper” personality, led the way for us to build a staffing agency that is focused on customer service, client and candidate respect, being an active part of our community, and having fun.

It has been an awesome ride. While we have certainly endured a few unexpected twists and turns along the way, we have evolved into exactly the type of firm that Alexis first envisioned back in early 2013. Our client base continues to grow and our candidate pool is filled with amazing and talented people.

A few highlights from the past year:

  • We moved! We loved our ‘birdhouse in the sky’ where we started (and our wonderful landlord – shout out to Steve Warwick!), but we outgrew our space and moved down the block into a first floor, more spacious office in November of last year. We love our new digs and are so happy to still be in our mid-town neighborhood. (What? You haven’t visited? We’re right behind Flaming Amy’s on Oleander Drive.)
  • We opened our Direct Hire Division!   Seeing a rising need for a direct hire option in the region, we lured veteran recruiter, Sara Gracey, to join us in September last year to head up our new Division. Our direct hire clients range from international companies to small, local businesses.
  • We expanded our Special Event Division!  Our Event Guru, Erica, joined us last year and has done an amazing job. If you attended a wedding, a fundraiser, community breakfast or a gala type event in 2015, then the odds are that you encountered one of our amazing event staff.
  • We were involved! We were proud sponsors for a number of local events including The Azalea Festival, the MDA walk, Good Shepherd and Work on Wilmington.

These first three years have gone by in a flash and we are so grateful to our clients, our candidates and the support of our community. Year 4 is just starting and we can’t wait to see where the next 1,576,800 minutes will take us.  Now let’s celebrate – pass the champagne!
